Veteran's Day fun!

Veteran's Day was a nice lazy day for us until...

we noticed the sun! So, we headed to Lake Padden!

I asked Will what he wanted to go on first and he said, "the bouncy one!". So, here he is!

Will forgot how much he loved the swings. I put him on and pushed him and he whined, "Will scared! Will scared". I said, "you love the swings!" and he said, "will love swings?!" and finally he got in it and LOVED it!

Ben's 1st swing ride!

Me and the boys!
Will was pretending he was flying like an airplane!

It was great day!

Halloween!

My little mushroom picker! (don't worry, he knows not to eat them)
When told to smile, I usually get this face...haha
This next pic has got to be one of my most favorite pics of Will!
Purple fungi that Matt found. When mushroom season is on, Matt is in heaven. It's like finding little treasures to him. He is fascinated with them. He picks them and identifies them and finds info on them. He's cooked some and enjoyed them. I couldn't tell you how they tasted since I really don't like mushrooms but, I believe him that they're tasty(some, not all!).
They're pretty fun to hunt though!
Geneva was the place to be for trick or treating. We really had a great time. Carley and Logan accompanied us and helped out(like usual) with the boys. They're great! Will went up to the doors and sometimes just took the candy and walked away without saying a word (I said, thank you for him!). He finally got it though. He still got a bit shy when we would tell him to say trick or treat but, he always said thank you!
Family pic time!~ I was an 80's Witch, Matt was scary, Will was my little pirate(with a funny painted mustache and beard!) and Ben was a leprechaun! It was a great time! Will loved it even more the next morn when he was able to dump his pumpkin bucket out and have one piece of candy!

Halloween day was a long one! We woke up at 6ish and got ready for an hour and a half car ride to Bellevue, Washington to attend the Youth Baptism trip at the Seattle temple(which was pretty awesome). We then took our time getting back by visiting a trail for a little mushroom hunting and then back home in time to do a tiny bit of grocery shopping, eat and then off to trick-or-treating! Whew! What a day! It was great!

Will's 1st Pumpkin Carving!

Will wanted nothing to do with the "pumpkin guts"! He said, "Mommy do it!" when usually I hear, "Will do it!"haha

Will helped taking the triangles out!

The result!

Last week for family home evening, we decided to have a little lesson on being nice to your friends by using the pictures from the "Friend" magazine and making up my own story for Will to relate to! The pictures were of a little girl coming out of her house only to discover that her pumpkins were smashed on her doorstep! No worries, it ended happily!

Will had a great time. He loved seeing the light glow through his Jack-o-Lantern! It was cute!

Ward Halloween Party!

This is how Ben gets ready to go out. He grabs something(preferably a toy) brings it close to his face and hopes he gets it in his mouth!

Our ward had a fun little Halloween party with a few carnival games. At first Will was a bit shy with all that was going on and he wanted me to hold him but, eventually he tried the games and got a sucker out of it. It was then that he loosened up!

Family pic!
The guys!
Will and his buddy James!

I'm glad Will had fun and was able to get good use out of his cool pirate costume! I love my little pirate!

Pumpkin Patch!

We went to Stoney Ridge today to pick out our pumpkin! It's a great place. I love that we can see animals, eat yummy, warm donuts, ride a wagon over to the patch and even do a corn maze (even though we chose not to this time due to mud) all in one place and for only $2 a person (3 and under were free). It was a great time to go since, it wasn't crowded.

I love Will's reaction to the horse's sneezing at him!

Hmm... What pumpkin shall we pick? la dee da...

Will picked out the pumpkin and we were on our way back in the wagon.

And big smiles, end the trip!

We noticed a lot of rotted pumpkins this time around. It was almost as if the pumpkins didn't like our random torrential downpours! Will noticed pretty much all the rotted pumpkins. He would stop, point to it and say, "yucky pumpkins". It made pumpkin hunting a little longer but, it made me laugh. Silly Willy!
